The ideas that came to me for a parody of “Rain On Me” were the typical wacky, fun ones that usually haunted me until I brought them to reality. Jared found these royalty-free illustrations of a reindeer in different positions. I took those and separated the parts into layers to allow for animation. This included creating mouth parts to animate the mouth singing. I also needed additional reindeer for the shots of them marching to unionize their job. So, I remixed the reindeer into the ones you see here. The sign is inspired by the Oscar-winning film, Norma Rae. Animating in this style involves moving the layers around or making them appear or hide using keyframes.
