This was another labor of love. I took a royalty-free photo of an abandoned factory, and slowly remixed it into a glittery spectacle. I wanted to keep a lot of the realism of the original structure, which adds grit. All of the machines in the film are videos layered by the set. You can look for all kinds of possibilities on sites with royalty-free videos. You can create animations. You can even use photos. The Photoshop file in this download indicates which layer to place the machines and which layer to place anyone on the second level.
To create the effect of Gaga and the back up dancers on the stairs draped green screen over a step stool and carefully climbed up and stood on it. You can also paint something. I was also able to cheat some of the dancers by standing on the floor in the pose of being on stairs.
The size is very large so that idealiy there is no pixelation when zooming in for different shots.
