This LGBT Pride anthem was written in 2010 during the fight for marriage equality. The song still resonates today given the actions and goals of the current administration. The 2020 version is remixed and remastered for its 10th Anniversary. This July, John also celebrates 10 years of marriage to the man this song is about, Jared R. Pike.
John included the Progress Pride Flag in the album artwork to stand up for the inclusion of transgender people and queer people of color, particularly after George Floyd and Tony McDade were killed by police. A free mp3 may be downloaded below.

A Master of Fine Arts graduate from the University of Houston School of Theatre, a large part of his training includes working on new plays and musicals with Stuart Ostrow, Edward Albee, Jerry Bock, and Jerry Sterner.
