In July 2013, I took casting director Brette Goldstein’s On-Camera acting class at Actors Connection. I had seen Brette speak at a panel discussion and became instantly smitten with her. In addition to being absolutely hilarious, she’s very honest, direct, and yet completely down to earth. I knew that I would be able to better learn on-camera technique (particularly in juxtaposition to theatre) as well as learn more about the independent film scene. I was correct. She created a space where we could take chances and fail. I had major breakthroughs and feel more confident about pursuing this side of my career.
