I acknowledge and respect that I live and create my art on the island of Manahatta in Lenapehoking the homeland of the Lenape, an offspring of the Algonquin civilization and specifically the clan of the Minsi (or Munsee) on what is now called Manhattan in New York, NY. The Lenape were forced off of their land that they had agreed to share with the Dutch, but is wrongfully portrayed as the “sale of Manhattan”.
